‘Personal intervention of DC Samba facilitated early procurement’
SAMBA, JUNE 02, 2021: The inhabitants of Gurha Salathia, a remote Kandi belt area and located on the right bank of the Devak River at Rakh Barotian get a big relief from erratic water supply after the replacement of defunct pump and installation of 10,000 GPH x 170 mtrs head capacity motor at the local lift scheme.
For a long period the village inhabitants had been suffering due to erratic and limited water supply. “The motor installed at Rakh Barotian which was pumping water to Gurha Salathia area had rendered its life and it caused restricted supply of water for a long now” said the sarpanch of the area.
Executive Engineer PHE (Jal Shakti Department) Sunil Sharma, while informing about the augmentation of the motor, said that a long pending demand of locals has been met due to personal intervention of Deputy Commissioner Samba. “The Gurha Salathia area is fed by lift scheme and with procurement of the new 10,000 GPH x 170 mtrs head capacity HC pump set, sufficient water will be supplied to the area” added the XEN Jal Shakti Samba.
The locals of the area expressed gratitude to district administration samba for addressing their genuine demand and hoped that other demands of the area were also addressed promptly.
