Chandigarh, October 20- Haryana Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya has called upon the doctors and health care institutions to make use of advanced health care technology to reach out to every person in need of health services so that all citizens can get the benefit of better health services.

Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya was speaking as the Chief Guest at a virtual conference on Inclusive and Affordable Healthcare organized jointly by Vigyan Bharati, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan and Center for Innovation and BioDesign on Wednesday.

He said that the Pradhan Mantri Digital Health Mission has been recently launched in the country, under which the health ID of all the citizens will be ready and the health record of citizens will be digitally secure. With this mission, people living in remote areas of the country will afford better health services.

He called upon the engineers, scientists and technical experts to keep up the pace of innovation, research, improvement and performance. It has also been said that getting affordable medical facilities is the right of every citizen, for which various schemes have been prepared during the last year including Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Bima Yojana, National Rural Health Mission and Pradhan Mantri Digital Health Mission.

Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya said that technology and digital services play a vital role in today’s era. The whole world has understood and used digital technology during the period of COVID-19 pandemic. Certainly advanced technologies have been used for the prevention of Covid-19 pandemic. He congratulated the organizers for organizing this conference and said that all the health care institutions should contribute in realizing the dream of a healthy, prosperous and strong India.
