Ferozepur 20.08.2021 Hemkunt Foundation Program Manager Lead Jessica Gill held a special meeting with Deputy Commissioner Gurpal Singh Chahal at the District Administrative Complex. Giving information about Hemkunt Foundation, she said that this foundation was started by Sh. Irinder Singh Ahluwalia which helps the needy persons with health care, education, disaster relief etc. She further said that the Foundation was starting a mobile medical unit in constituency Guruharsahai from the month of September with the full support of Cabinet Minister Mr. Rana Singh Sodhi. It includes an MBBS Doctors, nurses and lab technicians. The unit would provide medical check up to the residents of the area and treat other diseases including TB, diabetes, malaria and dengue. She further said that in a few months, the foundation would also start treatment of cancer victims under Phase-II. The Punjab Government is also cooperating this foundation. She said that this foundation was started in the year 2010. The purpose of this foundation is to help people in need. Apart from SDM Amarinder Singh Mali and Supervisor Dr. Nirmal Singh, other members of the Foundation were also present on the occasion.
