CHANDIGARH
According to experts, while moderate use of caffeine is beneficial, excessive consumption can be harmful to your health. However, how much caffeine is too much? Few individuals require many cups of coffee to feel energized, while others may do so with only one.
However, they advise against giving any kind of caffeine to children under the age of five, not even in the form of chocolate. Additionally, caffeine use should be restricted or avoided by women who are attempting to get pregnant, are nursing, or are pregnant.
People who enjoy coffee a bit too much should be aware that exceeding the recommended daily intake of 1,200 milligrams of caffeine can have serious negative effects on one’s health.
Excess consumption of coffee can develop many health disorders that include:
1. Anxiety has grown.
Caffeine use raises blood pressure, but excessive amounts can cause extreme anxiety, jitters, and even an uncomfortable rapid heart rate. Due to the elevated adrenaline, it may possibly make you frightened or jittery.
2. Sleep problems or insomnia
Excess caffeine keeps us awake, which naturally keeps us from dozing off. For at least the last three hours after consuming caffeine, those who currently have sleeplessness should refrain from doing so.
3. Nauseous stomach
In addition to being laxative, caffeine has an acidic tendency. Your stomach is impacted by too much coffee, which interferes with proper digestion. Extreme bouts of heartburn, cramps, indigestion, nausea, or even diarrhoea might result from it. Those who have GERD or acid reflux should avoid coffee.
4. Continual urination
As a diuretic, caffeine also has the potential to cause dehydration. Overdosing on coffee or caffeine can cause severe dehydration or frequent urination.
5. Migraines
A headache may be relieved by one or two cups of coffee, but anything more than that may make it worse. Additionally, those who get migraines should avoid coffee and goods that contain caffeine.
