KARGIL, JUNE 24, 2021: The committee constituted by the District Administration, Kargil to adjudicate the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners of the video yoga contest for school children held during the International Day of Yoga (IDY), 2021 announced the results here today.
Padma Wangmo of Government Higher Secondary School Shargole was adjudged as the 1st prize winner, while Chuskit Dolma and Tsewang Lhadol of Spring Dales Public School Wakha secured the 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively.
The adjudication of the top 3 position holders was done on the criteria of parameters like presentation, retention maintained during the final position, maintenance of balance and calmness, degree of flexibility and synchronization of body movement.
The top 3 best video winners will be felicitated with certificates of merit and cash prizes of Rs 5000, 3000 and 2000 respectively.
Chief Education Officer Kargil, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kargil, Assistant Director Information Kargil and District Coordinator Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Kargil were the members of the committee.
Pertinently, the video yoga contest was held with the objective to enlighten the younger generation about the benefits of Yoga for healthy and happy living in which more than 50 students had participated.
