IS TURMERIC DANGEROUS FOR YOUR HEALTH?

In every Indian house, one thing you would surely found is turmeric. It is used on a daily basis in food, face packs, and ointments. This is because turmeric has anti-bacterial and healing properties. It has been used by people since the ancient times as a medicine. Here are some advantages and disadvantages of drinking turmeric water:

A. ADVANTAGES
1. Strengthens Immunity: Turmeric consists of lipopolysaccharide which makes the immune system strong and prevents diseases like cold and flu.
2. Healing Properties: Turmeric has anti-bacterial properties which can help heal a wound faster. When applied to a wound it kills all the bacteria present and quickens the process of healing.
3. Blood Cleansing: Turmeric is also used as a blood purifier. It remove toxins from the blood and make it clean.
4. Good For The Mind: Turmeric is also good for our mind. It can be consumed everyday with hot milk or water which makes the brain healthy.
5. Detoxification: The spice helps in detoxing the body and remove all harmful toxins. Honey and lemon can be used along with turmeric for this process.

B. DISADVANTAGES 
1. Dangerous For Sugar Patients: Turmeric can be harmful for people who have diabetes. It has great properties which reduce the sugar levels in the body. When consumed in excess, it can lower the sugar levels dangerously.
2. Not For Pregnant Women: Turmeric shall only be consumed in a limited quantity everyday or it can be fatal for pregnant women due to risk of miscarriage.
3. Kidney Patients: If a person has a stone or other kidney related issues, they should not consume turmeric as it can increase their problem even more.
4. Patients With Blood Problems: Turmeric can slow down the process of blood clotting, thus, it is very dangerous for people with blood related diseases.
