…AAP to distribute oximeters in the state as a part of public awareness campaign

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) amid the rising incidents of Covid-19 in the state touching a new high, said on here Wednesday that the government in Punjab should ramp up medical facilities at various government hospitals and covid care centre, by accelerating the pace of oximeters distribution, to takes the alarming situation hands down.

In a joint statement issued here on Wednesday, senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Leader of Opposition, said the Amarinder Singh-government in the state should speed up pace to provide, among other essentials, oximeters in the areas affected by the Covid  pandemic to defeat in a decisive way.

Cheema said the AAP government in Delhi had been actively engaged among others in distributing oximeters in the cavid-prone areas to pre-empt chances of the spread of the pandemic. The chief minister Arvind Kejriwal had decided to celebrate his birthday in a unique way by distributing oximeters in the capital city.

Taking cue from the national convener and chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, and under the aegis of Punjab state leadership, including President Bhagwant Mann, state observer Jarnail Singh and LOP Harpal Cheema, leaders decided to kicked off a campaign to distribute oximeters to the needy so as to fight the big battle against Covid-19. Prominent among those who took a solemn vow to distribute oximeters, free of cost, included Raj Lally Gill, Nina Mittal,Anu Babbar, Dr Indervir Nijjar, Dharamjit Ramyana, Jagdev Bam, Sukhwinder Sukhi, Tejinder Mehta and Sandip Singla.

The LoP said that amid burgeoning incidents of the Covid-19, the Punjab government should mount a massive campaign in the state by distributing oximeters on the lines of the Delhi government to effectively take on the zombie of the deadly pandemic hands down.
