Chandigarh, May 24 :- Arrangement of langar and refreshments was made by Nirmal Kutiya, a well-known social organization of Karnal, for the devotees who thronged in large numbers at the Maharishi Kashyap Jayanti state level function organized in Karnal.
During this, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal himself took prasad at langar along with Karnal MP, Sh. Sanjay Bhatia, Gharaunda MLA, Sh. Harvinder Kalyan, Indri MLA, Sh. Ramkumar Kashyap and Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Dr. Amit Agrawal.
A large number of devotees thronged the state level celebrations of Maharishi Kashyap Jayanti. People started reaching from 9 am at the pandal in the grain market on their vehicles and on foot. By the time the Chief Minister arrived, the pandal was packed with devotees. As soon as the Chief Minister arrived, the pandal resonated with the cheers of Maharishi Kashyap. Seeing this bird’s eye view, the Chief Minister and the guests present there were delighted.
Devotees reached the venue with drums
There was a crowd of devotees with drums in the pandal in the grain market. Children, old people, women and youth came up to pandal singing and dancing as far as the eye could see. Entire families attended the function. The weather also favoured the programme.
The whole city came alive on the occasion of Maharishi Kashyap Jayanti. Maharishi Kashyap Jayanti was promoted through posters, hoardings, banners not only at the venue but also on the entire city, roads, squares and all the routes leading to Karnal.
The main pandal was decorated with flowers and large LED screens were installed for the devotees so that the event could be seen from far and wide.
The pandal erupted with applause on the hymns by the bhajan troupe
On Maharishi Kashyap Jayanti, the Bhajan Mandali of Haryana’s Information, Public Relations and Languages Department created such a fusion of hymns that the entire pandal resonated with applause. Hymns about the message of Maharishi Kashyap were recited. The guests present on the stage also applauded and gave offerings in this devotional atmosphere.
There was a competition among people to seek the blessings of Maharishi Kashyap
There was a competition among people to take selfies while taking blessings in front of the idol of Maharishi Kashyap adorned on the main stage. After the programme, a large number of children and youth took selfies standing with the idol of Maharishi Kashyap.
