MCM holds 5-day workshop ‘Seed, Lead, Grow'

The Character Building Committee of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, organised a five-day workshop titled ‘Seed, Lead, Grow’. The resource person for this engrossing workshop was award winning entrepreneur and certified wellness coach Ms. Tavishi, ShriShiksha Founder and Mentor. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation of over sixty students. Ms. Tavishi began by introducing the concept of ‘Holistic Wellness’ and asked the participants to identify the components of complete wellbeing. Over the course of the workshop, the resource person covered topics including Personal Development, understanding the physical body, developing the mind for overall wellbeing, nurturing and developing the self, and tapping into greatness. Each of the topics was followed by a practical exercise to enable the participants to apply the concepts to their day to day lives. On the last day, a few participants were chosen by Ms. Tavishi for outstanding performance in various activities. These included Jahnavi Sayal (BA II), Gurjas Preet Kaur (BA I), Divya Gupta (B.Com I), Nancy Somani (B.Com I), Roshni (B.Com I) and Ridhima (B.Com I).
Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava emphasised the need to focus on holistic wellbeing that comes from the harmony of mind, body and soul. She felicitated the selected students and appreciated their efforts to learn the art of holistic wellness.
