In a reaffirmation of excellence as the hallmark of the institution, the Postgraduate Department of Psychology at Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh lifted the overall trophy and secured first rank at the Annual Inter College Psychology Fest- Zeitgeist 2022 organised by PGGCG-11, Chandigarh. It was a clean sweep for the meritorious Psychology students of the college, who clinched top positions in almost all the events. Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava congratulated all the winners and lauded the efforts of the faculty members of Psychology Department for this outstanding success among all the colleges of Chandigarh. She added that the college is committed to the holistic development of its students and grooms them to be achievers in varied fields.
During the fest, Shreya (BA III), Surbhi (BA III) and Anubha Sharma (BA II) grabbed first prize in the Quiz Competition. Guntaj (BA II) was awarded first prize in Poster Making Competition held on the theme ‘Social and Cultural Heritage’. Zea Gill (BA I) secured second position in Debate on the topic ‘Are social norms relevant?’ and Anubha Sharma (BA II) bagged second prize in Face Painting on the theme ‘Preserving the nature’. Eva Bansal (MA II) won third prize in Research Paper Presentation Competition on the theme ‘Positive Psychology (With Special Emphasis on Atma Nirbhar Bharat)’.
