Chief Minister makes announcement for the same while presiding over the monthly meeting of District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee in Gurugram

Haryana government is soon going to formulate a policy for such colonies developed by private developers in Gurugram, where permanent and temporary electricity connections are not being provided due to lack of infrastructure. This move of State Government will certainly give big relief to the people living in private developer colonies.

Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal made this announcement while presiding over the monthly meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee in Gurugram today. A total of 17 problems or complaints were placed in today’s meeting, out of which the Chief Minister resolved most of them on the spot. Besides this, the Chief Minister also listened to the problems of public interest raised by the nominated members present in the meeting and directed the officers concerned to solve them at the earliest.
Meanwhile, during the meeting, a problem related to sports in village Khandewla was flagged after which when the Chief Minister enquired about the officer concerned he was found absent. Taking strict cognizance of absenteeism of District Sports Officer in the meeting, Sh. Manohar Lal immediately ordered his suspension. The said officer was absent from the meeting without giving any prior information.
The problem regarding non issuance of permanent and temporary electricity connections to the people living in 16 private developer colonies in Gurugram including Sushant Lok-1,2&3, Palam Vihar, South City-1&2, Malibu Town, RD City, Mayfield Garden, Uppal Southend, Suncity, Vipul World, Saraswati Kunj was placed before the Chief Minister. It was informed that due to incomplete infrastructure work by the developers, the government had stopped giving connections in these colonies.
Responding to this, the Chief Minister said that a new policy is being formulated for such consumers by dividing them into three categories so that relief can be provided to the people living in those colonies.
Sh. Manohar Lal informed that the consumers who have deposited all the EDC money to the developer, now the same money will be used for upgrading the infrastructure and after this connections will be issued to the consumers. Similarly, the consumers whose EDC money is pending would be asked to deposit the same for infrastructural upgradation after which connections will be issued to them as well.
Similarly, while disposing off the complaint regarding the lack of infrastructure like electricity, water, roads etc. in DLF Phase-3, the Chief Minister directed the representative of DLF to handover the colony to the Municipal Corporation by December 31 after removing infrastructural issues. After that, the Municipal Corporation will conduct a survey of the deficit infrastructure in the next 15 days and if any deficiency is found, then an estimate for the same would be made and will be given to DLF. According to the estimate, DLF will have to deposit the amount so that the corporation will remove that shortfall, directed the Chief Minister.
On similar lines, action will be taken in 14 other colonies of Gurugram. The Chief Minister said that in the case of those colonies, a tripartite agreement should be signed in which the Municipal Corporation, the concerned developer and the District Town Planner would be involved and the responsibility of getting the infrastructure completed as per the rules would rest with the District Town Planner.
In the meeting, the issue of dirty water flowing in the residential area of Sector-84 of village Sikandarpur Badha was also placed before the Chief Minister. In this matter, Sh. Manohar Lal directed to start a project under the supervision of Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Gurugram, Sh. Mukesh Ahuja, who is also the District Municipal Commissioner, in coordination with the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Manesar and the Chief Executive Officer, Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority, for resolving the said problem. He said that this problem should be placed again in the meeting of the Grievance Redressal Committee after two months.
While fixing the responsibility of the matter regarding traffic jam issue on the road from Hanuman temple to Palra-Sakatpur road in village Palra, to the Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Yash Garg, the Chief Minister directed that the illegal constructions should be removed immediately and after verifying the records, road maintenance work should be done by the concerned government agency.
The matter regarding clearing the way for ‘Rose Garden’ of Sector-15 Part-1 was also resolved in today’s meeting. The maintenance of garden is being looked after by Municipal Corporation. In the meeting, the Chief Engineer, Municipal Corporation informed that the work of beautification has been started at a cost of about Rs 2.5 crore, which will be completed in the coming three months. Apart from works like cycle track, footpath, gardening etc., four walls will be repaired soon.
In the meeting, MLA, Badshahpur and Chairman, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation, Sh. Rakesh Daultabad, MLA, Pataudi, Sh. Satya Prakash Jrawta, Safety Advisor to Chief Minister, Sh. Anil Rao, Political Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. Ajay Gaur, Media Advisor to Chief Minister, Sh. Amit Arya, officials of district administration also remained present.
