Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab Chief Minister candidate Bhagwant Mann, on Wednesday conducted door-to-door campaign in his Constituency Dhuri. Following the covid guidelines directed by Election Commission, Mann went door-to-door to listen the problems of people. People were excited to meet Mann and they welcomed him with garlands and showering flowers.

Bhagwant Mann here on Wedesday, visited various villages of Dhuri constituency Rudgarh, Issapur Landa, Farwahi, Kaleran, Changli, Kataron, Ghannauri Kalan, Ghannaur Kalan, Ghannaur Khurd, Bamal and Dhuri town and interacted with the people of the area. Appealing to the people to support the Aam Aadmi Party, Mann said, “Till February 20 our responsibility is yours, after that all your responsibilities will be ours”.
Mann said that our fight is not to save some political families as our fight is to save Punjab, and its farmers, agriculture, industry and youth. We will save both the agriculture and youth of the Punjab. Due to lack of employment and better education infrastructure, our youth is moving abroad. We will stop our talent from migrating by providing adequate opportunities of employment with world-class education system.
Speaking on the issue of farmers, Mann said that the previous governments had been given a lot of pain to farmers of Punjab by abating the condition the mandis. After working hard to cultivate crops, farmers’ crops are getting spoiled in the mandis and they have to bear the loss. AAP government will not let the farmers bear the brunt of crop-loss at any cost.
He assured farmers, once the crop reached the market, all the responsibility of the crops will be the government. Farmers won’t have to bear the loss if the crop gets spoiled due to storm and rain, and they will be compensated with full payment within 24 hours.
Attacking at Congress Punjab President Navjot Singh Sidhu, Mann said that a person who can’t take care of his mother, how will he serve the people of Punjab? Since he ill-treated his mother, thereby his political career has become zero. Mann also aimed at Akali dal and Parkash Singh Badal, and said that “Akali dal Khali Dal hai”. Parkash Singh Badal has been urging people to cast their vote in favour of Akali Dal for his last three terms, saying as this is his last election. He is also appealing people to give one more chance to serve them. Mann said that now, he is not at the age to serve but his greed of power forced him to contest at the age of 94.
Mann said that the power of Punjab is limited to few political families. However, our government will take out the power from those families and take it to the common people. The government of Aam Aadmi party will be the government of all sections of Punjab. People from all the sections – framers, traders-businessmen and employees will be heard and their grievances will resoled at the earliest. Mann appealed to the people press the “Jharu” button to make Aam Aadmi Party win in the election schedule for February 20 to change the fortune of youth, children and Punjab. He further said, being MP from Sangrur, I have always raised voice of Punjab in Parliament. Similarly, on becoming Chief Minister, I will work round the clock to resolve the problems and protect the rights of every section.
