Alert for red wine lovers! The sophisticated “good for heart drink” can actually be harmful for your skin.
According to many specialist doctors, drinking more than a moderate amount of red wine can increase the risk of dementia, cancer, depression and heart diseases.
Besides this, red wine can also be the worst drink for your skin. This fermented and unfiltered grape juice can affect the skin in a bad way. The sugar content in red wine can cause acne, dull skin, bloodshot eyes, rashes, redness and blotchy skin.
The sugar in wine overloads the liver, which is then converted into fat which is very hard to burn. This gets combined with the dead cells under the skin layer and clogs the pores. This in turn leads to acne.
However moderate consumption of alcohol, drinking lots of water and moisturising your skin can protect your body and skin from the damage.
