Public residing nearby downstream of barrage intimated not to go near river side under any circumstances during period of discharge release
KARGIL, JUNE 11, 2021: According to the General Manager (CPS), Chutak Power Station, NHPC Limited Kargil, discharge from Chutak Barrage shall be released on 12th June, 2021 from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM for cleaning and removal of trash accumulated on the intake.
Water level in the river downstream of Chutak Barrage would rise above the existing levels due to the release of water, the General Manager (CPS) has stated.
In this connection, all the public residing nearby downstream of barrage have been intimated not to go near the river side under any circumstances during the release of water from the Chutak Barrage.
General Manager (CPS) has further stated that there shall be no power supply from Chutak Power Station during the period of release of discharge.
