New incentive scheme to be started for rural electricity consumers

With a view to encourage payment of electricity bills by rural consumers through digital medium, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) will provide incentives under the new incentive scheme.

While giving information regarding this Managing Director, DHBVN and Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN), Sh. PC Meena said that under this scheme, an incentive amount of Rs. 2,100 per consumer will be provided to five selected rural consumers in every quarter in each operation sub-division of the nigam area. Concerned sub-divisional officers/operations will distribute prize money to the selected consumers in public in the village school, chaupal, or panchayat ghar in a transparent manner.
He said that only the rural electricity consumer will be eligible for this incentive scheme, who have made payment through any digital medium such as Net-Banking, Bhim / UPI, RTGS / NEFT, debit / credit card or a payment app. He said that the consumer of DHBVN can pay their electricity bills from the above digital media without any additional charge, at any time by mobile phone, laptop or computer. DHBVN also appealed to consumers to keep paying their electricity bills on time, which will rid them of penalty and the corporation will be able to provide better electricity facilities to the consumers. Sh. Meena said that DHBVN is committed to providing smooth uninterrupted power supply to its consumers and to solve their problems.
