Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal inaugurated the concluding session of the 5th National Convention of Sri Guru Ravidas Vishwa Mahapeeth

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the ideology of Sant Shiromani Sri Guru Ravidas initiated the wave of social change and development of humanity and it is still guiding the society.

Such great people were not the gurus of any particular caste or sect, but they were like guiding light for the entire human race. His teachings, thoughts today need to be imbibed in every person’s life.
Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal was speaking at the inauguration of the concluding session of the 5th National Convention organised in view of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav by Sri Guru Ravidas Vishwa Mahapeeth at Kurukshetra Sri Guru Ravidas Dharamshala and temple on Sunday. Earlier, Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal , International President of Mahapeeth and Rajya Sabha member, Sh. Dushyant Kumar Gautam, MP Nayan Singh Saini, Haryana Cooperation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal and others offered floral tributes to the picture of Guru Ravi Das and inaugurated the concluding session of the 5th National Convention by lighting the traditional lamp.
In this programme, the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal also laid the foundation stone of underground parking project to be constructed by Sri Guru Ravidas Mandir and Dharamshala Sabha in view of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
While congratulating the organisers for the national convention on the occasion of Ram Navami, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that it is commendable to organise such programmes on the holy land of Kurukshetra. In this country, from time to time, saints, sages and prophets have showed the true way of life to the forgotten humanity. Among such great men, the name of Sant Shiromani Sri Guru Ravidas is mentioned with great respect. Guru Ravidas was born 644 years ago, but his teachings are immortal that they seem novel even today. Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas was not a guru of any one caste or sect, he was a guide for all His teachings were for the whole of humanity. His words, ideals and teachings will always be a source of inspiration for humanity. He took a bold and historic step of reforming the society through Bhakti movement, which brought a new awakening in the society at that time entangled in caste and superstition. Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas envisaged such a concept of socialism, in which every person gets food and no one is small or big in the society, all are equal.
He said that the government has worked to celebrate the birth anniversary of great men at the state and district level. Similarly, the government also celebrated Maharishi Valmiki, Sant Kabir, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, 550th Prakashotsav of Guru Nanak Dev, 350th Prakashotsav of Guru Gobind Singh and will celebrate the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur in Panipat on April 24. He said that following the ideals of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas, the government worked to fully implement the spirit of Antyodaya and Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. The Chief Minister implemented the Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana. By linking this scheme with the Parivaar Pehchan Patra, a step has been taken to increase the income of people earning less than Rs. 1.80 lakh.
The government’s ideology is that people of all sections of the society can move forward. The government worked to increase the grant amount up to Rs. 80,000 for repair of houses under the Dr. Ambedkar Awas Yojana. Besides this, Haryana Kesh, Kala and Kaushal Vikas Board was constituted to improve the business of skilled arts, housing for all, scholarships to children. Under social security in Haryana state, old age people are being given the highest pension of Rs 2500 per month.
International President of Sri Guru Ravidas Vishwa Mahapeeth and Rajya Sabha MP Sh. Dushyant Kumar Gautam said that Sri Guru Ravidas Vishwa Mahapeeth has made many records. From the year 2018 to 2022, the work of ensuring that voice and ideology of Sant Guru Ravidas reaches the people was done by organizing consecutive conventions. People from all walks of life are associated with this Mahapeeth. He suggested that an IT cell should be formed in each province and 5 officers each should be kept in this cell so that through this IT cell all the schemes of the government could reach the people of the society.
Suresh Rathore, the national president and former minister of Sri Guru Ravidas Vishwa Mahapeeth, said that on March 11, 2018, this Mahapeeth was established on the holy land of Haridwar.
Haryana’s Cooperation Minister Dr. Banwari Lal, National General Secretary Sh. Suraj Bhan Kataria also expressed their views. National General Secretary Sh. Suraj Bhan Kataria managed the stage of this programme. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner, Sh Mukul Kumar, Superintendent of Police Dr. Anshu Singla, members of Mahapeeth and officials from different states were present.
