State monuments illuminated with blue light on World Children’s Day

On the occasion of ‘World Children’s Day’, important tourist places and protected monuments in the state were illuminated with blue lighting under the “Go Blue” campaign. It was wonderful to see Maheshwar Fort in blue lighting especially during the Nimar festival. World Children’s Day depicts the rights of the child through ‘Go Blue’.

Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture Shri Shivshekhar Shukla said that the blue color reminds us of UNICEF and our objective of ‘with children, about them and for them’. The efforts of the government to provide essential services to the children in the state during Kovid-19 have been successful. The government is always committed to give a safe and bright future to the children as per the objectives of UNICEF.

In the ‘Go Blue’ campaign on 19th and 20th November 2021 blue lighting has been done on tourist places and monuments including Maheshwar Fort, Minto Hall Bhopal, Palash Residency Bhopal, Tourist Village Shivpuri, Satpura Retreat, Highway Retreat Mandsaur, Lalbagh Palace Indore, Jahangir Mahal Orchha, Laxmi Mandir Orchha, Maharaja Chhatrasal Mahal Dhubela, Hindupat Mahal, Panna and in Gujari Mahal, Shahjahan Mahal, Karna Mahal and Vikram Mahal of Gwalior.
