Shameful act by the Congress government of Punjab
CID of Punjab Government had already given report
Chandigarh, January 12 – After a sting operation in the case of lapse in the security of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, while reacting said that the Congress Government of Punjab has committed a condemnable act. I strongly condemn that the security of the Prime Minister had been comprised. I have also requested the President that this government should be dissolved, so that the elections can be fair and such things can be stopped in future also.
The Chief Minister said that it has come to the fore through sting operation that an SHO is telling how he was directed to block the crowd and roads. He carried out these instructions. The CID had also warned that an alternate route might have to be planned. Far from making any arrangements, the Punjab government gave clear instructions to the farmer leaders on how to block the path of the Prime Minister. By doing so, they have put his life in danger.
The Supreme Court has also formed a committee of 5 members under the supervision of Justice Indu Malhotra in this regard. It will be investigated soon and the committee will give its report. Surely the truth will come out and Punjab Chief Minister, Sh. Channi and his government will be exposed.
The Chief Minister said that whether the Prime Minister goes to the national level programme or to any programme of the state, he is the Prime Minister of the country. The Prime Minister was going to Punjab for a very important purpose. He had to go there and dedicate projects worth thousands of crores to the public. A huge crowd was also to gather there, but fearing this, the Congress government did what they did. The state is ruled by the state government, when they decide to misuse their power, then they do such things. When the Prime Minister goes to any programme, it is the job of the state government to protect him. The Punjab government has certainly failed in this. It should be condemned in the strongest terms.
