Deputy Commissioners to personally take stock of the preparations for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test: Sh. Manohar Lal

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today urged all the Deputy Commissioners of the state to strictly implement the PNDT Act in the districts and  encourage various voluntary organizations, social workers and pensioners of the districts to register themselves on the Samarpan portal. The Chief Minister also directed the Deputy Commissioners to make tight security arrangements in the HTET examinations to be held on December 18 and 19, 2021.

The Chief Minister was presiding over the 15th meeting of the Administrative Reforms Department here today. Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Sh. OP Yadav, Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Smt. Kamlesh Dhanda, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. DS Dhesi, Chief Secretary Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal alongwith Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners of all districts were present in the meeting.

Expressing concern over the declining sex ratio, Sh. Manohar Lal said that concrete steps should be taken to take the sex ratio in the state to 950. For this, he directed to strictly implement the PNDT Act and file raids and cases under it.

He directed the Deputy Commissioners to take the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test to be held on December 18 and 19 as a challenge and personally take stock of its preparations. He said that apart from imposing Section 144 at the examination centres, strict security arrangements should be ensured. He directed to arrange for government vehicles to deliver the question papers to the examination centres and ensure that adequate number of security personnel are deployed with them. He also directed to make alternate arrangements for traffic and to ensure the arrangement of traffic police so that the general public does not face any problem due to high vehicular movement during the examination days. Apart from this, he also asked to keep the ambulance service and health service available in the districts during this period.

The Chief Minister asked the Deputy Commissioners to work to encourage various voluntary organizations, social workers and pensioners of the districts as well as the people of the corporate world to register on the Samarpan portal. He said that so far 932 volunteers have registered on this portal. 29 categories of volunteers have been created on the portal to render services in various fields. ‘Samparan’ a voluntary programme has also been started by the Haryana Government, under which people who are interested in social service can register themselves on this portal. He said that the Deputy Commissioners should prepare a list of pensioners of their respective districts and motivate the willing pensioners to devote their time for social service.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister also directed to complete the work of COVID-19 vaccination in the next 15 days by accelerating it. It was informed during the meeting that so far 91 percent people have been given the first dose and 52 percent people have been given the second dose under the COVID-19 vaccination campaign.

Apart from this, the Chief Minister also directed to work on the goal of registering cultivable land under Meri Fasal Mera Byora scheme at the earliest, and work on the plan to raise the income of families up to Rs. 1 lakh under Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana.

Administrative Secretaries of various departments and other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
