Chandigarh, May 12 – Khelo India Youth Games – 2021, which are going to be held in Haryana have started to garner huge interest in the masses.
Apart from Haryana, this upcoming sports festival has also become talk of town in other states as well.
Graffiti walls and selfie points will be set-up across Haryana so as to ensure that both athletes and spectators coming to participate and witness this grand event take back unforgettable memories. Along with this, maximum participation will also be ensured by organising flash mobs in places like shopping malls etc.
Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Haryana and Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Dr. Amit Agrawal, while chairing a meeting with various stakeholders and officials regarding the preparations for Khelo India Youth Games-2021 held here today said that all necessary arrangements should be ensured for both the athelets and spectators in these games, so that no one faces any problem.

Dr. Amit Agrawal said that the State Government is leaving no stone unturned to make this grand event memorable for both the participants and the audience. For this, special Rahgiri programmes are being organized in all the districts to promote Khelo India Youth Games-2021 which are attracting people in large numbers.
Besides this, a dedicated vehicle ‘Dhakad on Wheels’ carrying a torch and a mascot is also touring the state. Various sports events will also be organized in the coming days, he added.
He said that selfie points with mascots or other attractive symbols would be set-up at the famous tourist places and sports complexes of the city, where these games would be held, so that the spectators could take back wonderful memories of the event. Apart from this, graffiti will also be marked on the walls of sports stadiums and schools and colleges in rural areas.

Khelo India Youth Games – 2021 will be made more enjoyable through Graffiti Art. Paintings will be made on the walls depicting varii aspects of sports, so that people will get information about these games.
Flash Mob
Various activities will be organized through flashmobs in places like shopping malls etc. to promote these games and to connect people, especially youth with sports. Flash mobs are a group of people who gather in a public place and perform various activities for the purposes of entertainment and artistic expression. More and more people will be involved in these activities.
Games to be held from June 4 to June 13, 2022
The ‘Khelo India Youth Games-2021’, is being jointly organized by the State Government and Sports Authority of India (SAI), Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports from June 4 to June 13, 2022. As many as 25 sports events will be organized in this grand event, including five traditional games like Gatka, Kalaripayattu, Thang-Ta, Malkhamb and Yogasana. These sports events will be organized at five venues namely Panchkula, Ambala, Shahabad, Chandigarh and Delhi. Over 8,000 athletes will participate in these games. Besides this, lakhs of spectators will witness this gala sports festival.
Director, Sports Department Sh. Pankaj Nain, Additional Director (Admn), Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Smt. Varsha Khangwal, Joint Director (Admn), Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Sh. Aman Kumar and senior officers of Sports and Information, Public Relations and Language Departments also remained present on this occasion.
