CHANDIGARH

Skin allergies are hypersensitivity reactions caused by contact with common allergens such as peanuts, milk, egg, soya, wheat, pollens, poison ivy, metals such as nickel, latex, clothes, preservatives, medicine, scent, and even cosmetics. Skin allergies, also known as Allergic Touch Dermatitis, are caused by the immune system’s delayed response to a tiny molecule (allergen) that comes into contact with an already sensitized individual’s skin.”
The immune system is crucial in the development of allergies. The immune system normally defends the body against any unwanted external stimuli. It assists the body in distinguishing between friend and foe, as well as assisting in the destruction of the opponent. When your body is exposed to a new foreign particle that is causing you harm, antibodies are produced that bind to antigens (foreign bodies), allowing immune attack cells (lymphocytes) to target and kill these antigens.

In the process, lymphocytes also produce small protein particles known as immunity mediators (also known as cytokines), which alert the body to the presence of an adversary and prepare it to fight. As a result, your body and specifically your antibodies guard you against danger. However, the problem arises when your body and specifically your antibodies misidentify a friend as an adversary. So something that most people consider safe might trigger your body to go into a state of emergency, and your body will attack such alien entities, resulting in a physical manifestation known as an allergy.”

Symptoms:
“The initial phase occurs when the skin is initially exposed to the allergen, leading to the growth of an allergen-specific T cell population,” experts explain. Sensitisation is the term for this procedure. This is the body and immune system giving themselves a good notice and preparing themselves. However, if the allergen is re-exposed to the skin or if the allergen is continuously exposed to the skin, the body and immune system go into attack and battle mode, resulting in dermatitis.”

When the immune system is stimulated, it causes rashes, red skin, and hives when it comes into touch with the allergen. They itch like crazy. They normally settle on their own, although they can occasionally spread to other regions of the body. If you are exposed to allergens, you must exercise caution when using anti-allergic drugs. Angioedema (swelling in the neck or around the mouth) is a rare but serious condition that requires immediate medical treatment with injections.”

Treatment:
“CBD is the one chemical that has the potential to make ripples in the beauty industry.” For a long time, I’ve been giving CBD balm to my patients with severe skin allergies including alopecia, eczema, lichen planus, and urticaria, and I’ve noticed a difference. CBD balm has been shown in tests to relieve allergies and heal damaged skin by acting on the endocannabinoid system, which is found in the skin. These advantages can be obtained without breaching any laws.”
