  1. Never over brush: Over brushing pays harm to your gums and your teeth, so be careful while you brush. Never apply harsh force while flossing the teeth. Many of us have receding gums as a result of overly rigorous brushing. This exposes more damage to teeth and makes them weaker.
  2. Flossing and brushing are crucial: You should clean your teeth at least two times a day, followed by the morning and at night. Additionally, experts recommended flossing at least once a day. If you don’t take these precautions, plaque will build up on your teeth. Plaque, often referred to as calculus or tartar, is likely to develop into limestone if it is kept on the tooth surface for longer than 24 hours. It is a perfect environment for germs to flourish and cause more dental problems.
  3. Refrain from using nicotine, liquor, and coffee: Coffee’s tannin content causes it to be famously acidic, which weakens tooth enamel and stains teeth. In addition to being common vices, tobacco and alcohol use provide a risk for oral cancer, sore throat, tarnished and deteriorating teeth, as well as a host of other oral and dental health issues.
  4. Change your Toothbrush: Every toothbrush has a shelf life since they are contaminated with microorganisms. Make sure that you change your toothbrush every 3 months. But don’t just stick to the 12-week rule; change your brush right away if you notice it’s starting smelling awful or the appearance gets changed.
  5. Follow a good diet: The intake of nutrition plays a vital role in keeping your oral health good. Candy is not the only food that causes tooth decay and gum disease.
