The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), aimed to attain saturation of government schemes was organized today at Shaday, Panchayat Cha in Zanskar Sub Division despite the severe cold. Despite being one of the remote hamlets in the Zanskar, Shaday is situated in Lungnak Block, Panchayat Cha. The hamlet, comprising 10 households and around 65 residents, was the venue for hosting VBSY.
Officers/officials from various departments made their way to Shaday Village despite the inaccessible road from Cha Lungnak on 21th of January 2024. To conduct the program, the officials had to walk around 30 km trekking through difficult terrain and along the way the Sankalp Yatra team spent night at Yougar Village near Phukthar Monastery on the 1st day. The yatra continued on the second day from Yougar Village early morning at 7 O’ clock and reached Shaday late evening on 22nd Jan.
Day Nodal Officer Abdul Shukoor, officials from different departments, including Heath, Revenue, Education, FCS&CA, Sheep Husbandry, Animal Husbandry ICDS, RD&PRD, Social welfare, PWD Department and villagers were present.
During the event, the officers interacted and reached out to the citizens eligible under various welfare schemes, disseminating information and fostering awareness about the government-sponsored public-centric schemes.
Officers/officials from different departments held interactive sessions with the locals and informed them about procedures to avail these welfare schemes and various departments conducted camps.
During the health camp, 10 patients underwent BP checkups. At the Aadhar enrollment camp, 1 new Aadhar enrollment of 81 year old woman was done and 22 Aadhaar updates were completed.
FCS&CA Department completed 17 e-KYCs of the beneficiaries.
Animal and Sheep Husbandry Departments spread awareness about the centrally sponsored schemes like KCC and NADCP. Information about FMD and brucellosis was also provided. Brucellosis Vaccination of 4 to 8 months old female calf and new registration of ear tags were carried out. The department distributed medicines and first aid supplies and educated the natives of Shaday about the relevance and benefits of rearing livestock and sheep.
