Voters will decide the future of democracy in Lok Sabha elections: Union Home Minister Shri Shah

Union Home and Cooperative Minister Shri Amit Shah said that the year 2024 is a great festival of democracy. This year, voters will decide the future of democracy in the Lok Sabha elections. We have considered elections as a celebration of democracy and a means to establish public relations. As citizens of India, it is the responsibility of all the enlightened people to vote as well as to create public opinion. Public opinion should not be influenced by casteism, nepotism, appeasement and corruption. The mandate has been saved from being affected by these four things under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Those who talk about the interests of only family cannot care about the poor of India. Union Home and Cooperative Minister Shri Amit Shah was addressing a programme on ‘Role of enlightened people and thoughts in national development’ at Kushabhau Thackeray International Convention Centre. Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Rajendra Shukla and Shri Jagdish Deora, former Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan along with ministers, public representatives and intellectuals were present in the programme.

Home Minister Shri Shah said that there has not been any allegation of corruption against Prime Minister Shri Modi in 10 years but corruption was at its peak in the previous opposition government. India has risen from 11th position to 5th position in the world in terms of economy in past 10 years. Later it will come to third place. Prime Minister Shri Modi has made new policies for the country and has worked to implement them.

Home Minister Shri Shah said that mandate should be made with full understanding. Our policies with human compassion are a resolve for the development of a great India. Modi ji has taken development to new heights since 2014. The whole world is in awe of India. We are feeling proud.

Prime Minister Shri Modi has taken bold decisions from 2014 to 2024. Section 370 was withdrawn from Jammu and Kashmir. Today our Kashmir stands as the jewel in the crown of Bharat Mata. Prime Minister Shri Modi has granted Indian citizenship to Hindu citizens coming from neighbouring countries. The condition of women has improved under his leadership. New dimensions have been created in the field of banking. Naxalism, terrorism, extremism is on the verge of extinction. More than 11 crore toilets have been built. Every house today has a bank account, access to health facilities and pure drinking water.

Prime Minister Shri Modi displayed efficient leadership during Corona pandemic. 130 crore people fought Corona at par with the government. India eliminated Corona by innovating a vaccine. This vaccine was delivered to many countries of the world. Many goals have been set including making India a five trillion dollar economy by the year 2027. Another goal is to host the Olympics in 2036. The work of keeping the cultural heritage intact is in progress. Lord Shri Ram now sits in a grand temple in Ayodhya. The Rajpath has been converted into Kartavya path. Mahakaal Lok has been built in Ujjain. India has the credit of celebrating World Yoga Day on 21st June. India is showing the path of welfare to the entire world. Prime Minister Shri Modi has made democracy even stronger in 10 years. He has helped to free us from the shackles of nepotism, casteism, appeasement and corruption.

Home and Cooperative Minister Shri Shah said that Prime Minister Shri Modi has dedicated his life to the country. There were no allegation of corruption against him in his life. He will maintain India’s position as a Vishwa Guru.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that our much loved Home Minister has arrived in the city of Raja Bhoj. I welcome him wholeheartedly. Raja Bhoj was an epitome of Purushartha and Parakram. He showed his great bravery and defeated his opponents. We are continuously moving forward under the leadership of a successful Prime Minister Shri Modi.
