Haryana would make every effort to host international Sports Events: Dushyant Chautala

The players of the medal-winning team of handball met the Deputy Chief Minister

Chandigarh, April 12– Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala stated that the State Government will make every attempt to host an international level competition in one or more sports in Haryana so that the state’s athletes can draw inspiration from such international events.

        The Deputy Chief Minister met the state team players of the men’s and women’s handball teams at his official residence in Chandigarh. He encouraged them to keep performing in the same spirit and bring laurels for the State at such notable events. The women’s handball team of Haryana won the gold medal and the men’s handball team won the bronze medal in the 50th Senior National Championship held in Indore recently.

Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala, who is also the President of the Table-Tennis Olympic Association, while congratulating the players of both the teams on the victory said that the State Government is promoting sports in the State. By providing many facilities to the players, it is working to enhance their games.

        Haryana Handball Association’s General Secretary, Sh. Sandeep Kauntia informed that under the guidance of the President of the Association, Sh. Digvijay Chautala, the teams of both the sections have excelled in the National Games. International players of Handball and Executive Member of the Association Sh. Parvinder, Senior Vice President, Sh. Ram Meher Chhikara, Treasurer, Sh. Suresh Ahlawat and many dignitaries associated with the game were present on the occasion.
