The human body becomes more sensitive to several significant health disorders at a certain age. When it comes to women, little warning signs that could be a symptom of a serious disease are frequently overlooked. As a result, it is critical for women to develop the practice of frequent check-ups in order to detect any health problems early on.”

She outlined 12 health examinations that every woman should undergo. These are some of them:
1. Blood pressure test- Most women, especially after pregnancy, suffer from hypertension. Blood pressure issues exacerbate the symptoms of heart disease, therefore it’s critical to keep it under control on a regular basis.
2. Bone Density Test- Women lose bone density much more quickly than men after a certain age. As a result, testing should begin at the age of 50.
3. Thyroid Test – The thyroid glands secrete two essential hormones: thyroxine and triiodothyronine. The majority of women suffer from overactive or underactive thyroid glands. As a result, it is critical for women to get their thyroid levels checked on a regular basis.
4. Pap and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) tests- Between the ages of 20 and 30, a Pap and HPV screening is recommended to detect early signs of cervical cancer and the HPV virus. Women between the ages of 21 and 29 should get a Pap test every three years, and women between the ages of 25 and 29 should consider HPV testing alone, however Pap tests are preferred.
5. Mammogram- Starting at the age of 40, an annual mammogram is recommended to detect early signs of breast cancer.
6. BMI Index – It’s important to keep track of your body mass index starting at the age of 18 because obesity increases the risk of heart disease and has an impact on other organs because it’s a leading cause of hypertension and blood sugar.
7. Eye exam- Starting at the age of 18, it is recommended that you have your eyes checked on a regular basis.
8. Cholesterol test- High cholesterol is linked to an increased risk of heart disease. As a result, regular screening is required to keep cholesterol levels in check.
9. Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)- One of the drawbacks of STDs is that they don’t always show symptoms. STDs can be transferred and passed on to your child and partner if a person has them. If a woman is sexually active, it is therefore recommended that she undergoes regular screening.
10. Colonoscopy- This test can detect symptoms of colon cancer at an early stage, allowing for proper treatment to be carried out with timely intervention.
11. Hearing test- Hearing problems are on the rise, and they have a negative impact on one’s quality of life. Not only that, but it has the potential to harm a person’s mental health. After the age of 50, women are advised to get screened every ten years.
12. Have your skin checked – Starting at the age of 18, have your skin checked on a monthly basis for abnormal moles or colour changes, especially if you have fair skin or are frequently exposed to the sun. At the age of 40, you should start seeing your dermatologist for yearly full-body skin exams.
