5 signs that show you have thyroid disorder

Thyroid is basically a butterfly-shaped gland in front of the neck. Thyroid gland plays a role in producing hormones that control the speed of your metabolism and by this it helps the body to use this energy. Thyroid disorders can either slow down or turn up metabolism by disrupting the production of thyroid hormones.

What is hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism thyroid disorder?

People with hypothyroidism may notice their heart rate is slower than usual. Hyperthyroidism may cause the heart to speed up. It can also trigger increased blood pressure and the sensation of a pounding heart, or other types of heart problems.
  • Change in energy levels- Battling with thyroid makes you suffer from many lifestyle and body changes. It also impacts your energy levels and enables mood swings. Here also both the disorders have opposite impact on the body such as, hypothyroidism tends to make people feel tired, sluggish, and depressed and on other hand, hyperthyroidism can cause anxiety, sleeping issues, restlessness and irritation.
  • Hair loss- Hair loss is another sign that thyroid hormones may be seen out of balance. In this case both hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism lead to hair fall out. In most cases, after the thyroid is cured then the growth of hair is possible.
