CHANDIGARH
Blackheads are the blackish dots that are mainly formed on the face, nose, chin, cheeks and sometimes around the lips. The reason behind them is the dead cells and sebum. A common myth related to blackheads is that they are part of acne but no it’s not. They are caused due to the excessive fat stored in the skin. Mostly blackheads occur in the summer season.
To prevent any skin infections, blackheads and whiteheads, cleanse your face carefully in the morning and the evening. It removes the sweat, makeup and dirt on the face which facilitates the formation of blackheads. Try to keep your pores clean and closed. To do this, always clean your face with cold water.
Here are some tips and tricks to get rid of blackheads at home:
- Coconut oil, jojoba oil, sugar scrub: Mix coconut oil and sugar which will be treated as a scrubber. You can switch coconut oil with jojoba oil with sugar then apply it on the face according to your skin preference. Both work well.
- Use baking soda and water: Take a spoonful of baking soda, half tablespoon lemon juice, and later mix it with lukewarm water. The paste works as a natural exfoliator and shields skin from infection. By applying this paste you can get rid of blackheads.
- Oatmeal scrub: To make a scrub, add plain yoghurt, half lemon juice, 1 tbsp oatmeal. Leave the scrub for 15 minutes on your face and then wash your face with warm water. It not only removes blackheads but also gives the glow to the face.
- Cinnamon and lemon juice: Mix a tablespoon of cinnamon powder, add a pinch of turmeric and some lemon juice. Apply the paste on your face and leave it for 10 minutes then wash your face with normal water. Cinnamon is good for the improvement of blood circulation, tightening the skin pores.
