Brain Cancer is a disease that occurs in the brain in which the cancer cells known as malignant cells forms in the brain tissue which is referred to as brain cancer or brain tumor. In this, cancer cells grow to form a mass of cancer tumors that creates obstacles in the functionality of the brain such as, sensation, memory, muscle control and other body functions.
Tumors composed of cancer cells are called malignant tumors, and those composed of mainly noncancerous cells are called benign tumors.
Experts explained that “Cancer cells that develop from brain tissue are called primary brain tumors and on the other hand some tumors that spread from other body organs and travel to the brain are termed metastatic or secondary brain tumors “.
Statistics suggest that brain cancer occurs infrequently in which facts include 1.4% of all new cancer patients per year, so we can’t term it as a common illness and the data says, it is likely to develop in around 23,770 new people per year in which round about 16,050 people succumb to it. National Cancer Institute and the American Cancer Society estimated the above figures and further give detailed information including only about 5% of brain tumors may be due to hereditary genetic conditions.
The first type of brain cancer is Primary brain tumors which happen in the brain tissues named, glacial cells, astrocytes and others.
Data compiled by experts illustrates that people with certain risk factors including working in the oil refinery, handlers of jet fuel, chemists, embalmers or people working in the rubber industry are more likely to develop brain cancer than the general population.
There are fewer chances of the spread of brain cancer through the genes as it is not proven. Other risk factors responsible for brain tumors is smoking, radiation exposure, and HIV which have been recommended not proved by medical scientists.
Sometimes cancer gives the early symptoms or warnings which are very common to detect includes:
- Difficulty in walking, dizziness
- Weakness in muscles
- Severe headaches
More symptoms which get collide with the above-mentioned symptoms are:
- Vomiting
- Nausea
- Concentration and alertness get decreased to an extent level.
- Sleepiness all time
