Containment measures proving effective in Rajouri: DC

“Positivity rate dips to 2.80% from 10%, recovery rate touches 86.11 percent‘
RAJOURI, JUNE 01, 2021: Deputy Commissioner, Rajesh K Shavan today said that the effective containment measures taken by Rajouri administration have pushed the positivity rate in the district to 2.80 percent from 10%, while the recovery rate has touched 86.11 percent in the past few  days.
He was briefing media persons regarding the COVID19 situation in the district.
“Presently as many as 69 Covid patients are receiving treatment in the GMC and rest have recovered, and there are chances of post-Covid complications, so the patients are requested to keep following the Covid related protocols even after getting recovered”, the DC added.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that markets have been opened fifty per cent from yesterday on an odd-even basis. He urged the public to follow Covid appropriate behaviour while visiting the market.
The Deputy Commissioner urged upon all the shopkeepers and their workers to get themselves vaccinated for COVID19. He warned them of strict action if found working in the shops without taking vaccination.
Regarding covid specific treatment facility, he said one Oxygen Concentrator plant of 1000 LPM capacity is functional in GMC and the work on an additional oxygen concentrator plant of 750 LPM capacity is under progress.
The Deputy Commissioner said that as per the directions of the LG, five bedded Covid care centres have been set up in every Panchayat of the district to provide Covid related services at the doorsteps of the rural people. He urged the public to visit the Panchayat COVID Care Centres if they don’t have sufficient space at their residences.
“The Panchayat COVID Care Centres have been linked with the nearest health institutions to deal with any emergency arising due to COVID19”, the Deputy Commissioner added
The Deputy Commissioner informed that the PRI members have been asked to prepare a list of the targeted groups in their respective areas so that all the eligible persons are vaccinated at the earliest.
The Deputy Commissioner also urged upon all the employees working in different departments of the district to get themselves vaccinated for the COVID19 within the shortest possible time.
