The first meeting of Governing Body of Group Home was held today under the Chairmanship of Sh. Dharam Pal, Adviser to Administrator, UT Chandigarh.
It is a 11 member Governing Body with the Adviser to Administrator UT as the Chairman, Home Secretary as the Vice Chairman while the members include the Health Secretary, the Deputy Commissioner, the Chief Engineer, Chief Architect, Member Secretary, State Legal Services Authority, Mrs. Damanjeet, Parent of mentally ill persons and Director Social Welfare.
During the meeting, the name of the Society was deliberated upon. The detail power point presentation on each agenda points was given by the Director Social Welfare. Detailed discussions were held on various aspects of construction of the residential Inclusive Living Society with a capacity of 92 residents. Also, due deliberation was done on the Admission Policy and other relevant issues.
Present during the meeting were Sh. Nitin Kumar Yadav, Home Secretary cum Secretary Social Welfare, Sh. Ajay Chagti, Secretary Health, Ms. Hargunjit Kaur, Special Secretary Finance, Sh. Rupesh Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ms Palika Arora, Director Social Welfare, Sh C.B. Ojha, Chief Engineer, Sh Kapil Setia, Chief Architect, Ms Priti Arun, Joint Director GRIID and other officials of Chandigarh Administration.
