Full-dress rehearsals held in Kargil, Zanskar ahead of Republic Day

A full dress rehearsal was held today at Khree Sultan Chow Sports Stadium, Biamathang, Kargil ahead of the Republic Day 2024 celebrations in district Headquarter Kargil.
At the full dress rehearsal, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kargil Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Wani unfurled the tricolour, inspected the parade and took salute at the march past presented by female and male contingents of Ladakh Police, Ex- Servicemen, students of various schools and Band Party of Ladakh Police.
On the occasion the ADC Wani emphasized the pivotal role that young individuals must play in realizing the ambitious goal of achieving Viksit Bharat by 2047. He expressed pride in the democratic values of the country. He also underscored the collective responsibility to contribute towards a developed and progressive India.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Kargil, Iftikhar Ahmed Choudhary besides other concerned District Officers of Civil and Police Administration were present at the full dress rehearsal function.
Meanwhile, the students of different schools of Kargil and cultural groups also presented colourful cultural programs that reflected their patriotic feelings for the country.
The ADC also instructed to replicate the function in a similar manner and in close coordination on the Republic Day. Preceding the Republic Day parade on January 26, the rehearsal was held as a precursor to ensure successful presentation.
Meanwhile, the full dress rehearsal for the Republic Day was also held at Sports Stadium Padum, Zanskar where Ladakh Police, Ex-serviceman, NCC Cadets and students of various government and private institutions participated in the march past.
Mohd Hassan, Naib Tehsildar Zanskar hoisted the National Flag and took salute at the march past. Station House Officer, Inspector Stazin Gyalsten and other Sub-Divisional Officers were present. Amid severe cold, school children presented cultural programmes on rehearsal day.
