Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan will be held every year: Kulwant Singh


MLA Kulwant Singh inaugurates games of Mohali Corporation

Assured to provide all sports facilities to the players

The Punjab Government is conducting the Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan 2022 at block, district and state level. In continuation of this, today the games of Mohali Corporation were kickstarted by MLA Mr. Kulwant Singh at Multi-Purpose Sports Bhawan Sector 78 Mohali. Deputy Commissioner Mr.Amit Talwar was present on this occassion.
MLA also administered an oath to the players who arrived from different schools to play the games with good sportsmanship. While addressing, Mr. Kulwant Singh said that the Aam Aadmi Party government is committed to the all-round development of the state.  He said that in order to create maximum interest in sports among the children, the Punjab government is conducting the games across the Punjab.  He said that this will increase the interest of children towards sports.  Expressing hope, he said that with the efforts of the Punjab government, the physical and mental development of children will be at a faster pace.   Mr. Kulwant Singh said that the Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan will now be held every year so that the enthusiasm for sports among the children is maintained.
Mr. Kulwant Singh said that sports are an important part of our life.  While giving a message to the students, he said that major degrees can be obtained by taking the leading position in studies and sports.  Meanwhile, he blessed the students and wished them a bright future.  On this occasion, he assured that the Punjab government will provide all the necessary sports facilities to the players on time.  After this, he interacted with the players participating in the tug-of-war game and held a tug-of-war competition.

On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Amardeep Singh Gujral, SDM Mohali Mrs. Sarabjit Kaur, District Sports Officer Mrs. Gurdeep Kaur, administrative officers, teachers and students of different schools were present.
