Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Sh. Nitin Gadkari today

Chandigarh, June 26 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Sh. Nitin Gadkari today during his stay in Manali and discussed 11 projects worth Rs. 6,393.32 crore with regard to development of National Highways in the state of Haryana.

While giving this information an official spokesperson said that all the projects were accepted by the Union Minister. The Chief Minister assured the Union Minister that necessary support for taking possession of land at village Khatiwas in Charkhi Dadri District for construction of Isamailabad Narnaul Expressway will be provided. He also assured to remove encroachments on Faridabad bypass so that construction of DND-Sohana Expressway is expedited.

 Details of the projects are as under:

1 Declaration of Pehowa-Kurukshetra- road upto NH-44 as National Highway and construction of Kurukshetra Bypass. Pehowa to Kurukshetra road connects two major arteries of Haryana i.e. Ambala-Delhi Highway (NH-44) and Ambala-Hisar Highway (NH-152). Additionally, it traverses through holy city of Kurukshetra. Construction of Kurukshetra bypass would lead to decongestion of internal roads and segregation of traffic. It will also facilitate the movement of people from Patiala, Pehowa area to Haridwar. Total tentatiive length of corridor is 30 km. Rs. 618.5 Crore (including land acquisition of Rs. 283.8 Crore) Member (Projects) NHAI intimated that the corridor was declared as “in-principle” National Highway and is yet to be declared as NH due to pending policy decision on “in-principle” NHs. Hon’ble Minister(RT&H) directed NHAI to include the project in Bharatmala Phase-II including Kurukshetra bypass.
2 Construction of Vehicular Underpass (VUP) on Panipat – Jalandhar National Highway No. 44 (Old NH-1) at km 117.905 near Kambopura village in Karnal district. The VUP near Kambopura village on Panipat-Jalandhar Highway (NH-44) will facilitate vehicle and people movement of Kambopura and nearby villages. Farmers movement to their fields on the opposite side of NH-44 shall be facilitated. Rs. 35 Crore Hon’ble Minister(RT&H) directed NHAI to construct the VUP at the earliest.
3 Construction of underpass on Panchkula – Yamunanagar National Highway at the road dividing Sector-26 & 27 as a standalone project. NHAI has carried out 4-laning of Panchkula-Yamunanagar National Highway No-7 (Old NH-73). There is persistent demand for Construction of underpass on Panchkula – Yamunanagar National Highway at the road dividing Sector-26 & 27.

Construction of this underpass will facilitate safety of road users since the traffic from Sector-27 & 28 is presently moving in wrong direction for crossing the Panchkula-Yamunanagar National Highway.

Rs. 30 Crore Hon’ble Minister(RT&H) directed NHAI to construct the VUP at the earliest.
4 Construction of underpass at km 51.300 of Delhi Agra National Highway-44 (Old NH-2) near village Bhagolafor connectivity to Dry Port Zone of Prithla Industrial Area. An area of approximately

3000 acre is earmarked as Dry Port Zone by Government of Haryana under Prithla Industrial Area in the villages Baghola and Janauli situated on Delhi-Palwal-Mumbai Railway line and

Delhi-Agra section of National Highway (NH-2).

 

A large number of logistics and warehousing companies are operating in this area. Further, it was requested that a VUP at km 51.300 near village Bhagola be constructed in order to avoid hardships to industries

 

Rs. 35 Crore Hon’ble Minister(RT&H) directed NHAI to construct the VUP at the earliest.  Hon’blle CM Haryana agreed to bear 50 % cost of the project.
5 Construction of underpasses  at Bilaspur Chowk, Kapdiwas, Bawal Chowk and near RathiwasBudkha on NH-48 (Old NH-8) Construction of underpasses  at Bilaspur Chowk, Kapdiwas and Bawal Chowk were examined by the DPR consultant and included to scope of Gurugram-Jaipur project on account of necessity. There is heavy traffic crossing the NH in these areas. These underpasses would facilitate the movements across Delhi-Jaipur Highway.

 

  Presently, NHAI has sanctioned Foot Over Bridge (FOB) at Rathiwas Budkha. There is requirement of VUP at Rathiwas Budkha on account of heavy traffic.

Rs. 140 Crore Hon’ble Minister(RT&H) directed NHAI to construct the VUP at the earliest.
6 Construction of interchange on Eastern Peripheral Expressway to link Palwal-Aligarh National Highway (NH-334D) in Palwal district. An interchange facility has not been provided at the crossing of Palwal-Aligarh National Highway (NH-334D) with Eastern Peripheral Expressway. Construction of interchange at this location would give additional traffic to EPE which will result in additional toll collection.

Palwal Aligarh road (NH-334D) is an important interstate road and lot of traffic generates for accessing EPE at this location. This will facilitate smoother movement along with enhanced road safety.

Rs.65 Crore Hon’ble Minister(RT&H) directed NHAI to construct the interchange at the earliest.
7 Construction of service road along Delhi-Vadodara Expressway (NH-148N) for connecting Nuh-Mandkola-Palwal road with Western Peripheral Expressway. There is a demand from public for construction of service road along Delhi-Vadodara Expressway (NH-148N) for connecting Nuh-Mandkola-Palwal road with Western Peripheral Expressway. Approximate length of service road is 1.50 km and this service road is expected to facilitate local connectivity. Rs. 10 Crore Hon’ble  Minister (RT&H) directed NHAI to provide land for construction of service lanes by State Government.

Hon’ble CM directed State PWD to construct the service lanes.

8 Construction of new National Highway starting from Faridabad bypass and ending at EPE interchange near Chainsa village. Faridabad city is not properly connected with EPE on account of which the traffic from Faridabad city faces hardships for accessing EPE. Delhi-Agra National Highway passes through Faridabad city and there is urgent demand for connecting Delhi-Agra National Highway with EPE through a new National Highway starting from Faridabad bypass and ending at EPE interchange near Chainsa village.

 

With the construction of this new road, Faridabad city will be directly connected with the EPE.

Rs. 225 Crore Hon’ble Minister (RT&H) directed NHAI to examine the feasibility of construction of this new road.
9 a)    Construction of service roads along Rohtak bypass (NH-9) starting from ROB constructed on Rohtak-Bhiwani Railway Line upto Irrigation Canal near village Bhali Anandpur.

b)    Construction of 05 Nos. Underpasses on NH-9 (Old NH-10) at Balaur Mod, Rohad Chowk, at crossing of Bahadurgarh-Badli-Gurgaon Road, between village Dobh and Marodhi; At crossing of Beri-Sampla road.

c)    Construction of  service roads besides flyover on Kharawar to Nonand road and near village Gandhara

a)    NHAI has constructed Rohtak bypass as part of widening of Delhi-Rohtak National Highway. The residents of Bhali Anandpur village have demanded construction of service roads on both sides of road. This will help in facilitating smooth movement of traffic and enhanced road safety.

 

b)     Construction of 05 underpasses on NH-9 (Old NH-10) will faciltate the movement of residents of these villlages and other traffic across the National Highway.

 

c)     Construction of service roads will help in reduction of movement of traffic in wrong direction.

Rs. 225 Crore Hon’ble Minister (RT&H) directed NHAI to construct these service roads and VUPs at the earliest.

Hon’ble CM directed the State Government officers to facilitate acquisition of land by NHAI.

10 Deposit of funds w.r.t. one time improvement of  bypassed portion of Jind town

 

NHAI has constructed bypass for Jind city in 4 laning project of Jind-Narawana-Punjab border and estimate an amounting to Rs. 9.82 Cr. was submitted to NHAI in July 2018. Rs. 9.82 Crore Hon’ble Minister (RT&H) directed NHAI to sanction the estimate and reimburse funds to the State Government.
11 East-West Expressway from Dabwali to Panipat Construction of this expressway will open up the Western part of Haryana which will have fast connectivity with Meerut area of Uttar Pradesh and Eastern part of Haryana State. Rs. 5000 Crore Hon’ble Minister (RT&H) directed NHAI to examine feasibility of Expressway on priority.
