Heart Attack at early age: Causes, Risk Factors and Tips to prevent disorder

CHANDIGARH

Heart attack at a younger age is very common at these times. Around 25% of all heart attacks and cardiac arrest occurrences are in those under the age of 40.

They are becoming more usual among young people in India. Nowadays, we witness heart disorders between the ages of 20 and 30. The major causes behind this include an unhealthy sedentary lifestyle, and genetics, which delay the early signs.

A heart attack happens when a blood clot forms over pre-existing cholesterol plaque or, in certain situations, when there is simply a blood clot, especially in smokers, completely occludes an artery delivering blood to our heart. With delays causing permanent cardiac damage, just 25% of patients reach a well-equipped hospital during the crucial first hour.

The most common factors that cause heart illness are:

  • High levels of bad cholesterol (LDL)
  • Low levels of good cholesterol (HDL)
  • Early diabetes, obesity, particularly central fat deposition
  • High blood pressure
  • Smoking

Apart from this, Indians counter smoking, stress, inactivity, and poor dietary choices with high intakes of fats, sweets, and salt which make the situation even worse.

They need to be made aware of the value of consistent exercise and a heart-healthy diet to keep their weight at a healthy level.

It is important to overlook symptoms that give you warning such as central chest tightness, shortness of breath, perspiring, or persistent unease, and to have an ECG, echocardiogram, or stress test done to further assess them.

Those at risk of developing early heart disease, including those with a family background, high blood pressure, which was before or diabetes, high blood cholesterol, or obesity should take health check-ups frequently, check blood sugar levels daily, and also monitor blood pressure.

The following list of heart-healthy actions includes:

  • A diet that is low in processed and frozen foods and high in complex carbs, along with four to five portions of fruits and vegetables that have been shallow-cooked.
  • Consistent physical activity and daily workout. It has been demonstrated that daily walks of an hour can prevent high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease.
  • Quit alcoholic
  • Abstain from using cigarettes in any way
  • Stress reduction via meditation and some other leisure pursuits like going for a swim, gardening, or music, etc
