Like Prime Minister, my role in the state is that of a chief servant: Sh. Manohar Lal

I will ensure that there is no discrimination in Haryana: Chief Minister

The Chief Minister was present at the national convention of the Akhil Bhartiya Sant Samiti at the Ashram Hari Mandir in Pataudi

In a democracy serving the people is the primary religion and duty- Sh. Manohar Lal

Chandigarh, June 25 :-  Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the manner in which Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi addresses himself as prime servant (Pradhan Sewak) of the country, likewise, in the State of Haryana I play the role of chief servant (Mukhya Sewak). The Chief Minister was present at the Ashram Hari Mandir in Pataudi to attend the inauguration ceremony of the two-day National Convention of the Akhil Bhartiya Sant Samiti.  Sants from different states of the country and 13 Akhara Parishads were also present here.

The Chief Minister in his address said that in today’s democratic system, doing public service while being in power is the biggest religion and duty.  In ancient times, if the king committed a mistake, the religious leaders used to put peacock feathers on the king’s head to give him the impression that even if the government system does not punish him, but religion will surely punish him.  The Chief Minister said that the Sants assure smooth functioning of the society.

The Chief Minister said that parents only build the body, but the Sant moulds the person into a civilized citizen and provides guidance for nation building.  In the same way, the system of governance can ensure development, but a saint has a pivotal role in ensuring a civilized society.  He said that in his government there would be no discrimination against any person in Haryana.

Today, Haryana Government is making its policies keeping in mind the deprived and economically weaker sections of the society with the spirit of Antyodaya and is making continuous efforts to improve their lifestyle.

Throwing light on the objectives of the convention, he said that this convention has been organized to awaken the society.  He said that keeping in mind our future generations, we have to ponder whether we have imbibed our culture in our children because in the past when the country was a slave, our kings were brave but were not organized. So keeping in mind the future generations, the society will have to move forward towards imbibing our culture.

In the convention, the convener of the programme and the Dean of Ashram Hari Mandir Pataudi, Swami Dharamdev said that the Chief Minister of Haryana, Sh. Manohar Lal is an effective Chief Minister. Even though he may not have worn saffron, buthis thoughts and the contribution being made by him in nation building and preserving traditions are immense. He said that he is first such Chief Minister in the entire country who has named his residence

as Sant Kabir Kutir.

On this occasion, Pataudi MLA Sh  Satya Prakash Jrawata, Thanesar MLA, Sh. Subhash Sudha, Chief Minister’s Media Advisor, Sh. Amit Arya, Pataudi SDM Sh. Pradeep Kumar, Tehsildar Rita Grover, along with a large number of devotees from Pataudi and surrounding areas were present.
