For girls, irregularity in their menstruation cycle is a common problem. Some irregularity in the periods is the sign of the changes in your body when a girl reaches puberty. However, some more reasons affecting your period cycle are; medicines, obesity or under-weight, exercising more than requirement or having no physical activity and most important the unhealthy diet.

Hormone imbalances are also the reason for irregular periods. The cycle of the period depends upon the various factors in which diet is the most important factor. There are some foods which can help you regulate your periods without taking any pills.

Ginger: Ginger has multiple health benefits starting from the cold, digestion to periods. Properties of magnesium and Vitamin C in ginger can help to regulate the period of time.

Unripe papaya: If you want to regulate your periods then unripe papaya works well. Papaya helps in contracting the muscles in the uterus, which helps in releasing the blood and tissues from the vagina, said the experts.

Cinnamon: No doubt that cinnamon adds the taste to food but, apart from enhancing the taste of your dishes, cinnamon can also be used for making your cycles regular. It warms up the body internally, which increases the blood flow.

Turmeric: Turmeric has various properties to beat the illness and it can be consumed to treat irregular periods also. Take it with warm milk and add a few drops of honey before bed.
Jaggery: It is known for its hot nature which helps in blood flow. Consume less amount of jaggery for two to three days which will start your periods.

Dates: It is commonly found in the winter season. Benefit of date is that they regulate heat in the body which further regulates the blood flow. Studies suggest that women who consume dates soaked in milk regularly can feel an effect on their menstrual cycles. One thing to keep in mind, excess dates can prepone the period cycle.
