MCM inks pact with RCED

With the objective of developing and enhancing students’ employability skills and entrepreneurial acumen, Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (RCED), Chandigarh. Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava and Mr. Paramjit Singh, Director, RCED signed the MoU. Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Bhargava asserted that, in the present competitive times, simply providing curricular knowledge to the students is not enough as preparing them for the professional world and enhancing their employability quotient is equally significant. She said that this MoU envisions to open up a world of opportunities for the students through training and making available of information about various openings. The MoU paves way for collaboration between MCM and RCED for Employment Enhancement initiatives sponsored by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, Directorate of Industries, Khadi and Village industries Commission (KVIC), Government of India, National Skill Development Corporation, Tech Mahindra Foundation, NASSCOM Foundation, SJVN, PFC, etc. As per the agreement, employment enhancement initiatives would be undertaken by RCED for the students of the college and they would be educated about various employment opportunities in different fields.
