Padma scheme will prove to be a landmark for rural youth: Dushyant Chautala

Chandigarh, Jan 19 – Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that the ‘Padma’ scheme will prove to be a landmark for the rural sector, as it will create new employment opportunities for lakhs of youth and also increase the income of panchayats.

Deputy Chief Minister gave this information after presiding over a meeting of officers regarding ‘Padma’ scheme. Development and Panchayat Minister, Sh. Devender Singh Babli and Labour and Employment Minister, Sh. Anoop Dhanak were also present on the occasion.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that the state government is working on the Padma scheme expeditiously. He said that to promote MSMEs in the state, a ‘Land-Pool Policy’ is being formulated, its draft has been prepared and soon it will be finalized.

He said that under land pooling, about fifty acres of land would be raised in each block. Some products have been fixed block-wise by the state government, which will also help in getting the export done. He said that such quality products are prepared by skilled people in many villages of the state, which can get good price at national and international level, but due to lack of knowledge, they are forced to sell at local level at low prices.

According to Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala, the intention of the state government is to form a cluster in each block for the best products produced by the people of that block, where plots can be provided to the people for setting up industries like MSMEs. Facilities including electricity, water, road, bank, common service centre will be provided in this cluster.

The meeting was attended by Sh. Vijayendra Kumar, Principal Secretary, HSIIDC, Sh. Vikas Gupta, MD, MSME, Smt. Amneet P. Kumar, OSD to Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Kamlesh Bhadoo and other senior officers.
