Pollution level reduced due to western winds

Farmers should stop stubble burning exercise

Chandigarh November 5:  Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the air pollution has been reduced due to the effects of western winds. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather condition will remain the same for the next six days and certainly there will be further decline in air pollution.

While interacting with the media persons after the programme organised at Rohtak, the Chief Minister said that due to Western winds, the air pollution has been reduced significantly in comparison to the last few days and the Air Quality Index has came down below 400. Despite this, it is very important to maintain safety standards and take precautions.  In response to the question, the Chief Minister said that Haryana State has always lived up to the expectation, for which the Chairman of NGT has also appreciated the efforts made by the State Government to reduce air pollution.

In response to another question, he said that awareness programmes have been organised to aware more people of the state and this time the cases of stubble burning have been reduced.  The farmers have followed the visionary steps of the state government.  One step ahead is being taken to reduce air pollution.  Vehicles are also highly upgraded to reduce air pollution. The Electric vehicles are now available in the market stores. Gradually, the effect of the constructive steps being taken regarding pollution control will be seen in the coming days, added the Chief Minister.
