Rangla Punjab Festival – Literature Festival

Rangla Punjab,  the region’s biggest cultural festival has been displaying the myriad colours of Literature, Food, Music, Valour and Punjab’s very own Sewa Bhav and drawing visitors of every age.  Different locations are highlighting various singular aspects of Punjab.

After the resounding success of the first day of the Literature Festival at Partition Museum, the second and final day also proved to be a literary treat for one and all.

There was a spell bounding session between Dr. Surjit Patar a celebrated Punjabi poet, a recipient of the Padma Shri and Professor Sarbjot Singh Behl an academic and an architect passionate about poetry.

The second session saw Seema Kohli, an experimental multi-disciplinary artist, in a delightful conversation with Sanjoy K. Roy, an entrepreneur of the arts and Managing Director of Teamwork Arts.

The icing on the cake was a special felicitation to these experts by honourable Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori who added an extra charm to the Literature Festival with his presence.

After these sessions the audience was treated to a guided tour through Amritsar’s walled city with fascinating stories told by professional storytellers who know the city’s history in and out.

The finale was a repeat of the inspiring play by the youngsters of Khalsa College which threw light on the glorious legacy and history of Punjab and Amritsar and instilled pride in the hearts of all the viewers!
