Special Lecture at PU

      A special lecture titled “Cultural diversity of India” was organized by the Departments of Anthropology, Panjab University, Chandigarh to celebrate and commemorate “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: celebrating 75 years of India’s Independence”.

          Distinguished speaker on the occasion was Professor P C Joshi, Vice-Chancellor, University of Delhi, Delhi. He discussed that the Indian culture is one of the most ancient and diverse cultures present in the world. Human diversity is existing in the India because of the inclusive and accommodating nature of Indian civilization.

          Prof. A K Sinha in welcome address, introduced the esteemed speakers and Dr J S Sehrawat presented the vote of thanks.

          Participants across the country attended the special lecture and had a very constructive discussion with the distinguished speaker. Faculty members of the Department of Anthropology are thankful to UGC CAS II programme for their financial support.
