The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), aimed to attain saturation government schemes was organized on Thursday evening at Phima Ralakung, Panchayat Phey in Zanskar subdivision despite the severe cold.
Phima Ralakung Village comprises 4 households and around 30 residents. After covering the Nangma, VBSY Team of Officers/Officials from various departments made their way to Ralakung Phima to conduct the program.
The officials had to trek around 6 km mounting through a steep pass between the two hamlets of Ralakung and the team reached around 3.30 pm at Phima.
Stanzin Gurmeth, Day Nodal Officer, Panch Ralakung, Stanzin Otdan and officials from different departments, including Heath, Revenue, Education, FCS&CA, Sheep Husbandry, ICDS, RD&PRD, Agriculture, Social Welfare, Ladakh Police and villagers were present.
During the event, the officers interacted and reached out to the citizens eligible under various welfare schemes, disseminating information and fostering awareness about the government-sponsored public-centric schemes.
Officials from different departments held interactive sessions with the locals wherein they were informed about the procedures to avail these welfare schemes.
Various camps by different departments were also held. At the health camp, 9 patients attended the OPD, 8 underwent blood pressure check-ups, and 11 received NCD screening. During the Aadhaar enrolment camp, 1 new Aadhaar card and 6 were updated.
FCS&CA Department completed 10 e-KYCs of beneficiaries and collected 4 forms for addition and modification of the Ration Cards.
The Agriculture Department successfully conducted 3 e-KYCs for PM Kissan beneficiaries, distributed 2 registration forms, collected soil samples for Soil Health Cards from all farming families, and addressed all grievances related to agriculture schemes.
The Sheep/Animal Husbandry department made people aware about the importance of sheep and cattle rearing and how it impacts the livelihood and the rural economy. In addition, medical supplies for sheep and cattle were also distributed.
