ORDERS STOPPAGE OF PAYMENTS TO CONTRACTOR, PROCESS IS ALREADY ON TO BLACKLIST HIM

Ludhiana Improvement Trust (LIT) Chairman Raman Balasubramaniam on Friday said that he would not allow the sub-standard road construction in the city.
Inspecting the road construction work in local G block of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar locality, Raman Balasubramaniam said the people of the locality have complained about the use of substandard or poor material or without following all protocols in G-block of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and following which the road construction work was immediately stopped.
The LIT Chairman said that we will not tolerate such thing and added the process has been already initiated to blacklist the contractor besides payments have been stopped for other works completed by the same contractor till the experts from GNE College submit the report about the quality of the road construction.
He added that we have called the contractor to the spot but he did not reach here.
Raman Balasubramaniam added that that Ludhiana has been marching towards unprecedented development in the city.
He said that special emphasis has been laid on urban infrastructure development and complete transparency has been maintained in all these works.
Senior Congress leader Baljinder Singh Sandhu was also present on the occasion.
