Nehru Yuva Kendra Amritsar, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India Celebrated National Youth Day Programme dedicated to Swami Vivekananda in Government Institute of Garment Technology, Hall Gate, Amritsar.

ACP, Traffic Police, Mr. Jasbir Singh ji, was the Chief guest and Principal Mr. Jatinder Singh ji was Special Guest of progrmme, other guests of the program are SP Traffic Cell Mr. Salwant Singh, Head Constable Mr. Salwant Singh ji, Ajay Kumar from Phenyloop Amritsar, Khuspal Singh. and Jastaran Singh, Haryawal Punjab Chairperson Daljit Singh Kohli.

The program was started with the lighting of the lamp, Accounts and Program Assistant, Rohil Kumar Katta told that today it is 161st anniversary of the birth of Swami Vivekananda and the theme of today program is Developed India, by the youth, for the youth

He said that the main objective of celebrating this day is to provide direction to our youth at the national level and inspire them towards nation building. The main objective of the government to celebrate this day is to honor and appreciate the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda and to encourage the youth to work hard., To inspire to contribute to the overall development of the country and take inspiration from the life of Swamiji.

After this, cultural presentations were given in the program, after which the biography and ideals of Swami Vivekananda were highlighted by the Distrcit level declamation contest Winner Shubhneet Kaur.

District Youth OfficerAkanksha Mahawaria told that Government of India is organizing National Youth Festival from January 12 at Nasik, Maharashtra. in which youth from every corner of the country come and showcase their art. District Youth Officer told everyone about the life of Swami Vivekananda and inspired the youth to contribute more to the progress of the country.

The program included live telecast of National Youth Festival, oath taking ceremony, seminar and Road Safety and VolunteeringActivities In the program. badges, T-shirts and caps were distributed to the Mera Bharat youth volunteers, the stage charge of the program was handled by Rohil Kumar Katta, Shifat Kaur and Seerat Kaur, about 300 people participated in the program.
