ਵਧੀਕ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ (ਵਿਕਾਸ) ਨੇ ਜ਼ਿਲੇ੍ਹ ਲਈ 16457 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਨਾਬਾਰਡ ਸੰਭਾਵੀ ਕਰਜ਼ਾ ਲਿੰਕਡ ਯੋਜਨਾ 2024-25 ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤਾ

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Harpreet Singh launched Potential Linked Credit Plan (PLP) 2024-25 document prepared by NABARD for total outlay `16,456.99 Crore for Amritsar district. The PLP was launched at District Consultative Committee at Amritsar. This PLP document covers the potential credit areas for the year 2024-25under the Priority sector.

Additional Deputy Commissioner stressed on diversification of lending portfolio by the banks and in order to promote new avenues in farming and allied sectors banks need to look towards citizen centric approach. The bankers were advised to pass on the benefits of various schemes of GoI and GoP to the beneficiaries.  Bankers were guided to focus on MSME sector and promote new entrepreneurs under various Government schemes as it plays crucial role in welfare of the district. The district offers various avenues across housing, tourism and industry for credit disbursement.

NABARD District Development Manager, Shri Jaskirat Singh informed that agriculture credit should increase under investment credit so that capital formation in agriculture sector can take place. Various new schemes of the government need to be implemented by banks in order to increase investment credit.The thrust of Govt. on agriculture, needs to be translated into credit disbursements.

Taking into account the above factors, the total projections of   the   PLP  for  the  year  2024-25have   been  estimated  at  `16456.99Crore inclusive of  `5441.34 Crore for Agriculture Sector, `9238.65Crore for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises,       `258.75Crore for Export Credit,   `289 Crore for Education, `1006.27 Crore for Housing,  `32.15 Crore for Renewable Energy,   `127.07 Crore  for Others (SHG/JLG/Small Loans) and `63.75Crore for Social Infrastructure.

LDO Ms Anita Sharma, LDM Shri Umang Maini and District Officials of all banks and line departments were present at the launch.
