Jalandhar, September 28 2021Extending a helping hand to the woman who lost husband and two children in road mishap five days ago, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori on Tuesday provided financial assistance of Rs 50000 for her and her injured son’s treatment.
The cheque of Rs 50000 was handed over to victim Jasvir Kaur at the private hospital where she and her elder son Garry is undergoing treatment.It is pertinent to mention here that road mishap took place on September 23 morning when Jasvir Kaur along with her husband Sandeep Kaur, daughter Jeevika, sons Samar and Garry were going towards Bhogpur on activa scooter collided with a SUV in Pachranga on Jalandhar-Pathankot highway. Sandeep, Jeevika and Samar were died on the spot while Jasvir Kaur and Garry had sustained serious injuries.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the Red Cross Society is always strived to help the poor and needy people. He reiterated the commitment of the administration to help the deprived and weaker sections of the society through such efforts and assured all possible help to the family.
