The Career Counselling Cell of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh organised an online workshop focusing on equipping students with knowledge and skills required for the preparation for IELTS. The workshop was conducted by StarQuest, an educational venture of highly experienced corporate professionals with an astute focus on improving the standard of English. The resource person was Ms. Deep Kamal Gill from StarQuest. Over 89 students registered for the workshop. TMs. Deep provided the participants thorough insights into the nuances of IELTS examination including eligibility criteria, registration, syllabus, exam pattern, scoring and how to ace the exam. The expertise and the rich reservoir of knowledge of the resource person provided the participants a great learning experience and they benefited from the reading activity conducted during the workshop. The event ended with an interactive session wherein the doubts of the participants were solved.

Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava lauded this initiative of the Career Counselling Cell to educate students about IELTS- the exam that holds immense significance for education and employment abroad, and immigration. She added that with a large number of students considering offshore options, such sessions assume great relevance.
