Chandigarh, July 22- Haryana Education Minister, Mr. Kanwar Pal congratulated the students who topped in Class 12 examination through telephonic conversation and wished for their bright future. He congratulated students who topped in different streams namely, Manisha (Arts stream) of Mahendragarh district, Pushpa (Commerce stream) of Kaithal District, and Bhavana Yadav (Science stream) of Rewari District.

Education Minister later said that it is a matter of great pleasure that girl students have secured the first position in all the three streams of Class 12. Nowadays, girls are not only as good as boys in any field but are two steps ahead in fields of education and culture.

The Education Minister further said that the education standard has been steadily improving for the last 5 years in the state, which is evident from the increasing pass percentage every year. Government schools in Haryana are also competing with private schools. The result of government schools was 79.78 percent and that of private schools was 80.97 percent. He said that the result of students of Class 12 of Board of School Education Haryana was 80.34 percent, while the last year’s result (2019) was 74.48 percent, in the year 2018 it was 63.84 percent and in 2017 it was 64.50 percent. Thus, every year the pass percentage is increasing consistently.

Mr. Kanwar Pal informed that for the first time, it has been decided by the Board to keep the certificates and results of candidates in the digital locker for the convenience of the candidates, which can be downloaded from the Board’s website if required. The candidates shall not face any difficulty to get admission in the next class.

Education Minister informed that prior to lockdown (COVID-19 pandemic) only the examinations of some subjects of Senior Secondary Examination could be conducted. According to the marking policy adopted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, marks have been considered on the basis of the average marks of the examination conducted by the Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani, and the result has been tabulated accordingly.

He further said that if a candidate is not satisfied with the declared result, he can improve the partial marks in the upcoming examination of the Board, for which the candidate will be given two opportunities.
