CYCLE EXPEDITION BY AIRFORCE STATION AMRITSAR CANTT

As a part of celebration of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, a 19 member cycle expedition team was flagged off on 25 October 21 from Air Force Station Amritsar Cantt & returned to base on 29 Oct 21. The team, led by Squadron Leader Balraj Sharma, was flagged off on 25 October by Group Captain Anmol Mehra, Station Commander Amritsar Cantt.

They covered a distance of 540 km in six days to the final destination of Indo-Pak border at RS Pura (Jammu). The team, enroute, passed through Batala, Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Lakhanpur, Samba and Jammu. The cycle expedition was aimed at spreading awareness amongst youth on available career prospects in Indian Air Force and showcasing the spirit of adventurism.
